MEDICAL TREATMENT

Medical Drugs can be used for the treatment of stopping the hair loss at the beginning stage of baldness. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) accepted that Propecia preventing DHT can stop the hair loss at the first stage of the baldness and confirmed it. It is taken 1 mg one pill per day.It is affective by blocking the 5 alpha reductase and dihydrotestosterone creation. Dihydrotestosteron is the hormone causing the hair loss. It has the forms of %2-5-15. It causes dilatation in the hair skin arteriole and causes the more nutrition of the hair and also new Vellus hair.

More affectiveness can be seen if Rogaine is used together with Propecia. Medical treatment is not for the recovery of hair fall,rather for the prectection of the avaliable hair.That is why the earlier you start,the better it is. Medical treatment gives god results when it is used together with hair transplantation.Because hair treatment is used for different purposes.

SURGICAL TREATMENT

FUE METHOD (Follicular Unit Extraction)

FUE Hair Transplantation Method depends on extraction the hair follices from the back of head by using the special needle and no lancets.The hair follices can be taken by this special needle without any damge to the tissue. Each hair follice unit has 1-3 hair roots. Before this operation,the hairs are cut up to 2-3 mm in the zone of felliccule. The tranplaintation one by one to the rare zone or bald zone is done by applying local anesthesia both on the Extraction zone and planting zone.

The Advantage of the method;

•        It is possible to take 2500-3250 hair follices in one seance.
•        It can be applied to the Extraction zone for many seances and no need to wait between the senaces like in FUE Method. It can be helful for the patients to cover the hairless zone in a short time by taking 4500 grafts in two days and 7000 grafts in three days.
•        Besides,there is not any loss of sensation and mark on the planting zone.The recovery is faster if the skin band is not removed from the back of head.
•        In a few days,the small opennings can be coverred without any mark on the Extraction zone of the follices.
•        If there is not any follices on th head,the follices from the different part of the body can be taken and transplanted(Breast,Back,Belly,legs,etc..)
•        The number of the hair on the head skin does not determine if the patient is a candidate for the opearation or not.

FUT METHOD (Follicular Unit Transplantation)

In FUT Method,the tissues between two ears at the back of the head are taken by surgical operation. The hair roots in the tissue are seperated to micro grafts containing double or triple hair roots and planted to the bald zone.

Advantages of the method;

•        2000 hair follices can be taken in one seance.
•        The operation takes roughly 5 hours.
•        Taking the hair as a group makes us gain time. Your Rest time is longer during seperating the micro grafts containing double or triple hair roots outside.

Another unknown point is that whether the hair grows for the second time when the injected hair falls. Normally the hair has 2-6 years life. So, we do not know if these injected hairs have normal life cycle or not.

The most important technical problem is that the during dermal cover cells development,it sometimes changed to normal fibroblast rather than to a hair cover cells. To achieve a good culture environment,make all cultured cell to be hair cells and to canalize them for metamorphosis is the main problem.

Even though it seems that it is a far possibilty,It should be also kept in mind that these cells exciting the hair growth may cause tumoral formation or ill-humored malign development. Even if these problems and difficulties are solved,this can be routine application only after the approval of FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) and after the affectiveness and safety works which have 3 stage clinical tests and teh controlled experiments and which takes years. Hair Cloning remains still far from the perfect application in spite of the newly successes achieved.Therefore,leaving the hair transplantation and and using hair cloning for solving the baldness is not possible for a long time.

The Development Of P.R.P (Platelet Rich Plazma) Treatment
